  1. Whenever you win a fight, your characters get tougher. Click on the Lens button and look at the XP (experience points) bar. It slowly turns dark. Whenever the bar becomes fully dark, your character gets extra powers: more hit points, best chances to hit enemies and (if a spellcaster) more spells.
